Tips for Frosting
a 2-Layer Cake
-
Cool the cake
layers completely; brush off any loose crumbs.
-
Place one layer,
top side DOWN, on a plate.
-
Spread about 1/3
cup of frosting over the top.
-
Place second
layer, top side UP, on the first layer.
-
Spread a very
thin layer of frosting on the sides of the cake to seal any
crumbs.
-
Spread the
remaining frosting on the sides and top of the cake.
-
